4. African-American males are 50% more likely to die form stroke.

5. African-American stroke survivors are more likely to become disabled and have difficulty with activities of daily living.

6. African-American women are 10% less likely to be diagnosed with breast cancer, but 36% more likely to die from breast cancer.

Dr. Herb Joiner-Bey holds a B.A. in Physics with a Mathematics minor from prestigious Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, MD.  Subsequently he became a graduate of the Professional Course in Classical Homeopathy, International Foundation for Homeopathy, N.D. (Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine), from world-renowned Bastyr University in Seattle, WA.   Dr. Joiner-Bey was an instructor in human anatomy and physiology at Tai Hsuan Foundation College of Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine, Honolulu, Hawaii. While in Hawaii, he tailored a one-year course in western anatomy and physiology to the needs of students of Traditional Chinese Medicine to enable graduates in both areas.
